Video and Slideshow of the whole series of Summer Schools

We have a video presentation telling the story of the Gaisnock Summer Schools in pictures and words. The presentation runs for almost 20 minutes. We hope that you enjoy it. It is only Version One, we have lots of pictures, sound and video to work through. Click here for Flash version (small).

Marymass Folk Festival, 2007 - 40th Anniversary. Several of the local people who attended Summer Schools @ Glaisnock also attended the Marymass Folk Festival. It was encouraging to see so many young local musicians taking part - teaching projects, mainly centred on North Ayrshire, are clearly having an impact. Common Ground artists were well represented at the festival by Adam McNaughtan, Heather Heywood, Eddie Walker and Fraser Spiers. Pete Heywood was there with his camera. Registration is on Sunday afternoon. In the evening there will be a 'Welcome Concert' and a chance to get to know your tutors and familiarise yourself with the facilities of Glaisnock.

Classes start at 9.15 on Monday morning and finish on Friday afternoon. There will be a concert on Thursday evening when staff and students will perform.

There will be a busy programme of evening activities and various social activities throughout the week.
